I am interested in attending a meditation. I have never been before and have limited experience. I would appreciate any information you would provide. I wanted to know in particular if the Saturday morning meditations are 3 consecutive sessions meant as one continuous activity or if it is optional to participate in one of the three. I don’t know that I could sit for an hour or more at this point.

      Hi Evangeline,

Thanks for your interest. The sitting periods are 25 minutes per period, alternated with walking meditation, about 5 minutes. So no longer than 25 minutes. Hope this helps, and feel free to call the phone number above for more info!

    Hello,

Thought Id share my song dedicated to Buddhism x

    The Path
    (Keith Law)

    Someone once said to me
    that nothing stays forever
No state of mind, stays good or bad
but it could, if we were together

    Someone once said to me
have you seen the deep insight
life is endless, make it right
things will change throughout your life

    Chorus
I’d like to take you with me now
and I hope that it will last
I’d like to take you along a road
    and it’s called the path
I’d like to take you with me now
so don’t think about the past
I’d like to take you along a road
    and it’s called the path
    and it’s called the path

    Someone once said to me
    make the right decision
I said that I can only tell
when I know I have the wisdom

    Someone once said to me
    you can have enlightenment
    Nirvana is where we step
    when it’s like deep meditation

    Chorus
I’d like to take you with me now
and I hope that it will last
I’d like to take you along a road
    and it’s called the path
I’d like to take you with me now
so don’t think about the past
I’d like to take you along a road
    and it’s called the path
    and it’s called the path
    yes, it’s called the path

Hi, do you have a mailing (email) list to sign up to? I’d like to be notified of when the retreats are coming up, schedule details, etc. Thank you! 🙂

Hi Jack, my name is Stevie Romero (despite the fact that ” Stevie ” brings to most of society the mental image of a man, I am actually a 28 year old female who is excited about the prospect of a zen group here in good old Spokane. I would like to discuss with you the process regarding attending my very first sitting with you, and have therefore provided all the contact info necessary for us to set up our initial meeting; I look forward to being welcomed in your group!!! Expect a call from me tomorrow sometime during the day. – Stevie

I have a friend, father tom connoly, who used to come to the meditation and I would be interested in coming but it sounds like I need to contact you first so that’s what I’m doing.
    THanks

Will there be a 3/4 day retreat in the fall of 2017? If so, please provide any available information.
    Thanks

My Fiance and I will join you this Wednesday. It says that if we are coming for the first time then we should let you know. Please let us know what we should do to enter the building and begin our practice with your sangha.

Also, I understand your Saturday sits are 3 x 25s, what do your Wednesday sits look like?

    Thanks.

    Hello,
I am unable to sit in the traditional manner. Could you please tell me if you have sitting benches, or do I need to purchase one before attending one of the Saturday sessions?
    thank you.
